Circleville Baseball Youth Helping to Decorate Chillicothe Veterans Graves

I was almost too late to see the setting of American flags in Grandview Cemetery, but I caught a young baseball team helping with the work.

The Redhawks Baseball Team of Circleville were being led by their active-duty coach to give back to veterans buried there. Along the way, he was using his smart phone not to find graves, but to look up history and share it with the kids.

I forgot to catch the coach’s name, but he mentioned that he and his wife are active-duty – which explains why he brought the team to decorate veterans’ graves. Hear him in the below video.

The 10u RedHawks have a Facebook page and Instagram account. Find more in the article on the Scioto Post, including a video interview.
