“Early Accounts of the Earthworks at Marietta” to be Presented Tuesday

The monthly meeting of a local archaeological group is Tuesday evening.

“Early Accounts of the Earthworks at Marietta” will be the presentation for the June meeting of the Mound City Chapter of the Archaeological Society of Ohio.

Presenter Bill Reynolds has served as the historian at Campus Martius and the Ohio River Museum in Marietta for more than 50 years.

He has a PhD from Kent State University in Philosophy, and was research assistant to the late Pulitzer Prize-winning author David McCullough while writing his book "The Pioneers."

They meet at the Ross County Heritage Center at 45 West Fifth Street in Chillicothe at 6:30 Tuesday. See a few previous presentations on their YouTube page.
