(24/7 News) -- The National Weather Service is looking into a possible tornado as the cause of a building collapse Sunday during high winds at Rickenbacker Airport.
The Columbus Division of Fire confirmed they responded to a call about a structure collapsing on Rickenbacker Parkway as winds reached reported speeds of 54-miles per hour. Officials say no one was hurt in the incident, but another building on Wright Brothers Avenue was also damaged.
The NWS says a severe thunderstorm blew through Central Ohio just before 6:30pm on Sunday and they are now investigating for any possible tornado events.
Video in southwest Ohio showed what appeared to be a twister touching down near the town of Shelby.
