A paving project will take place next week at the U.S. Route 35 rest area in Jackson County, and the facility will be closed.
During the week of April 22nd, the rest area will be closed while crews from the Jackson County Highway Maintenance Facility resurface and stripe the parking lot. The rest area is located along westbound U.S. 35, approximately two miles east of the Jackson-Ross County line and immediately east of Cain Road.
The closure will go into effect at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22nd, and it will remain in effect through Friday, April 27th. As there will be no vehicular access to the rest area, the facility will also be closed to all visitors.
