Alex Rodriguez is a retired Major League Baseball superstar. Alex was so successful as a player -- and earned so much money -- that he is now set to become a co-owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves basketball team.
Because of this, Alex has been spending more time at all sorts of basketball games. And Sunday, he attended a game between Bucknell University in Pennsylvania against the Army basketball team.
At halftime, Alex dazzled the crowd at Bucknell by sinking a half-court shot -- which resulted in a $10,000 prize for a lucky student.
The student, Owen Garwood plans to use the money to help pay for tuition, was overjoyed.
And while Garwood went home with $10,000, the amazing basketball shot also sparked a huge celebration in the student section at the arena, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.
