Blair Recommended for Southeastern Panthers Football Coaching Job

Southeastern High School is expected to get a new head football coach hired Monday night by the board of education.

Garett Blair is being recommended to the board, to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Evan Gallaugher, following the 2019 unbeaten SVC championship season, that also saw the Panthers in the playoffs for a third straight season.

Blair is a Southeastern High School graduate, who later served as assistant coach at Eastern Pike and McClain High Schools. He was the offensive coordinator at McClain the last two seasons.

Matt Queen had been hired in February as Gallaughers replacement, but decided not to take the position just days later.
