Shawn Cox of the Arthur St. Clair chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution
Close to Independence Day, Revolutionary War patriots were commemorated recently. The Sons of the American Revolution held a ceremony June 21st in Chillicothe’s Grandview Cemetery.
With assistance from the Camp Charlotte chapter in Pickaway County, and the Ross County chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Arthur St. Clair Chapter of the SAR held their annual Color Guard event for the Ross County area.
The event focused on honoring five veterans of the American Revolution who emigrated to Ross County but whose true graves are unlocated. Instead, they are among 35 memorial markers in “Patriot Square” in Grandview Cemetery.
