Long-Term Chillicothe Councilman Proehl Says Farewell

Proehl (seated, far left) gets a standing ovation in his last council session.

Chillicothe Council said farewell to long-term member Dustin Proehl, after his recent health concerns. His is the third resignation in three months, just as two appointees have taken their seats.

Proehl had a heart attack a few months ago, and said he wanted to spend more time with his family – including one daughter whom he pointed out had not been born yet when he started his council career.

He gave a six-and-a-half minute impromptu farewell speech on April 28th – hear him in his own word in the below video.

His Ross County Democratic Party will choose Proehl’s successor soon.
