Boy Meets World star Ben Savage allegedly will not speak to his former co-stars Will Friedle, Rider Strong, and Danielle Fishel, and they don't know why.
Friedle, who played Eric Matthews in the beloved 90s sitcom, opened up about estrangement within the cast on the Monday (February 24) episode of Boy Meets World rewatch podcast "Pod Meets World" alongside cohosts Rider, who played Shawn Hunter, and Fishel, who played Topanga Lawrence, shining a spotlight on Savage, who played his little brother, Corey Matthews.
"Ben is one of the most important people I’ve ever met in my life and I can’t stand the fact that he won’t speak to us. And that’s what it is: He won’t speak to us." The reason why Savage ended their decades-long friendship remains a mystery.
"I can show you the last three years, literally, of messages, and in the middle of a conversation with Ben, he just bailed on me. Ben absolutely one day woke up and said, ‘I don’t want Will in my life,’ and never told me why."
Elsewhere in the podcast, Fishel and guest Maitland Ward, who played Rachel McGuire in the series, got into a heated argument about cast tension brewing for years.
"I think there’s a divide too because you hate Ben. And you guys hate Michael," Ward declared, referring to show creator Michael Jacobs.
