Over the past few years, the Saint Vincent de Paul Society and the Knights of Columbus have been holding free community food distribution events help food-insecure residents in Ross County, and now groups are looking to replenish their food supply.
The ministry’s annual Food Collection Drive is set to take place this Saturday, June 10th in the parking lot at St. Peter Church, located at the corner of West Water and Church streets in Chillicothe, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Volunteers will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products, as well as monetary donations.
Items collected during Saturday’s food drive will be used to supply the food ministry’s upcoming free food distribution events for Ross County residents in need.
Those looking to make a donation on Saturday are encouraged to enter the church lot via the entrance on Church Street and then exit the lot via Water Street.
