One of Two Teens Accused of Victoria Schafer's Death Reaches Pleas Deal

A teen accused in connection with the death of a Chillicothe photographer in Hocking Hills has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors.

The teens, Jaden Churchheus and Jordan Buckley, were accused of pushing a log off a cliff that struck and killed 44-year-old Victoria Schafer on Labor Day in 2019.

Jordan Buckley is in court Friday.

On Wednesday, Churchheus pleaded guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter. Churchheus had been charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless homicide - but pleaded to the involuntary murder charge.

As a condition of his plea deal, his case will move back to juvenile court, and he will be sentenced to three years in juvenile detention.
