Ross Real Estate Tax Payments Due February 14th

First-half real estate tax payments are due by Friday, February 14th. With the due date quickly approaching, Ross County Treasurer Steve Neal Jr. is reminding taxpayers that missing the deadline will mean paying more. Ohio law requires the treasurer to charge a 10% penalty on all payments received after the due date except for payments that are postmarked by the due date.

.

The treasurer’s office has extended hours this week and will be open Monday thru Friday (February 10th -14th) from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

.

Taxpayers who wait until Friday night will still be able to get their payments in on time by placing them in either the night deposit slot at the treasurer’s office or the drive-up tax payment box located in the parking lot of the Ross County Service Center on Western Avenue. All payments deposited before midnight on the due date will be considered timely. E-check or credit card payments made through the treasurer’s website before midnight will also be on time.

.

Taxpayers who receive a separate manufactured home bill have until March 2nd to make those payments.

.
