CCI Teacher Arrested for Bringing Drugs to Prison

A teacher at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution has been charged with bringing drugs into the facility after the investigator who found them Monday in a search died of apparent natural causes.

.

44-year-old Bradley L. Danner, who worked as a teacher at the corrections facility, was arrested and accused of possessing Percocet. He was charged with conveyance of a drug into the prison, a fifth-degree felony, and is being held in the Ross County jail.

.

The death of the investigator, 38-year-old Brandon Collier, was “very coincidental” but not connected with the discovery of the drugs, according to the State Highway Patrol.

.

The Percocet pills would not have posed an exposure problem.

.

The original report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol notified to the news media that the incident occurred at the RCI, but it actually took place at CCI.
