Suicide Prevention Education Has Local Advocates "Running" To Help

A difficult subject for many people to discuss- is the topic of suicide.

.

The month of September is Suicide Prevention Month and prevention advocates are urging people considering suicide to talk to others about their thoughts and not fear getting professional help.

.

Jhan Corzine is the president of the Ross Suicide Prevention Coalition and says he got involved with the coalition after he and his wife lost their son Holden to suicide several years ago, following their son's return from service in the military.

.

The Coalition's Annual 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser will be held September 5th in Yoctangee Park. Funds from the event are used for suicide prevention education in the county. Registration forms are available at the Paint Valley ADAMH Board Office or go to www.eventbrite.com
