Two Indicted in Ross County Following June Burglary in Londonderry

Two people have been indicted in Ross County following a June burglary at a home in Londonderry.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office, the original offense occurred on June 9th of this year when deputies with the Ross County Sheriff’s Office were called to an address at 125 Church St. in Londonderry in reference to two suspicious subjects on the property.

On arrival at the scene, the responding deputy observed two individuals, identified as Yauncy Shipley Jr., 41, of Londonderry, and Holly Castle, 36, of Richmond Dale, exiting the residence.

The two were detained and upon questioning, Mr. Shipley informed the deputy that he was in possession of a loaded handgun. Ms. Castle revealed she was in possession of an unopened box of .21 caliber ammunition. After contacting the owner of the home, the deputy both the gun and the ammo were found to have been taken from the residence.

Mr. Shipley now faces a single count each, third-degree felony burglary and fourth-degree felony carrying concealed weapons. He faces a potential sentence of up to 36 months in jail with a fine of $10,000 for the burglary charge, and up to 18 months incarceration with a $5,000 fine for the charge of carrying concealed weapons.

Ms. Castle is charged with a single third-degree felony county of burglary. She faces up to 36 months and a fine of $10,000 if convicted.
