Excessive Heat Warnings for Ohio

(24/7 News) -- Temperatures are expected to exceed 105 degrees on the heat index charts all across Ohio this weekend.

Various heat index's across the state will top triple digits and that has various organizations putting out warnings. Triple-A says you should be ready with supplies, in case you suffer a break down. That includes a minimum of five bottles of water for each person in the vehicle.

Jennifer Moore is warning people about leaving children and pets in hot cars, even if it's just for a few minutes. Last year, there were 52 preventable deaths of children in vehicles, up 21 percent from the year before.
