Ross Baby Contest Still Raising Funds for Pioneer Center After 20 Years

For two decades, the Baby Photo Contest at the Ross County Fair has raised thousands of dollars for equipment and facility improvements at the Ross County Board of DD's Pioneer Center.

.

Doctor Richard Villarreal of Adena Women's Health Services helped create the event, which allows people to vote for their favorite baby photo during the Ross County Fair. The idea came from his experience working with Pioneer Center, where his oldest son attended from age 2 until aging-out at age 21.

.

Villarreal says he has "always been impressed with Pioneer Center's amazing staff as they have to be a spectacular people".

.

Photos entered in the contest are limited to children age 6 years and younger and should be submitted by July 31st. Photos can be dropped at 610 Blackwater Road, Adena Health's OBGYN Center in Suite 120 at the hospital or at Jividens Photography.

.

Photos can be voted on during the Ross Fair for a $1 donation.
