Ross Humane Society In Better Shape Than in 2017

While better financial conditions exist for the Ross County Humane Society, they are trying to educate the community on how they operate. Director Jenn Thomas says they went from almost certain collapse in 2017, to a much better picture to start 2019.

The next board meeting of the Ross County Humane Society hopes to get public input on their future direction, as well as help the community understand how they operate.

Jenn Thomas says one big misconception is that they are part of the dog wardens office, when they are NOT. She says they work with the county dog warden, but the two groups are separate entities.

The first board meeting of the new year will be 5:30pm January 23rd at the Petland Incorporated office on Riverside Drive in Chillicothe, which is open to the public.
