College Guys Are Trying to Stop Porn on Campus

Jim Martinson is among the 80 students at Notre Dame who sent an open letter to the administration asking for a porn filter on the school’s WiFi setup.

This idea’s caught fire with students at other schools, and similar crusades are revving up at places like Harvard, Princeton, and the University of Pennsylvania. The goal is to “install a filter on campus WiFi that bars access to all websites that exist for the purpose of disseminating porn.”

According to Martinson and the rest of the organizers of the movement, the university’s been “receptive” and he’s confident it’ll get done by year’s end.
