A semi-truck carrying canisters of Axe body spray caught on fire causing a massive explosion on Interstate 35 in Texas early Monday morning filling the air with the unmistakable smell of the popular body spray. Witnesses recorded video that captured the canisters shooting out from the massive blaze like fireworks and littering the highway with debris.
Luckily, nobody was injured in the fire. Maintenance workers, who happened to be nearby, saw the fire and helped the driver and his passenger out before the cans of Axe started to explode.
The highway was closed for eight hours while the fire was extinguished and the canisters of Axe were swept off the road. The flames were so intense that the section of the roadway will need to be removed and replaced.
Authorities did not say what caused the truck to catch on fire and are continuing to investigate.
