A Ross County man has been found competent to stand trial for allegedly leading authorities on a false search for a missing Chillicothe woman.
The "Chillicothe Gazette" says 38-year-old Jeremy Ault of Lakewood Drive is accused of providing false tips that led authorities to search Ross Lake for the body of Wanda Lemons.
Ault is being charged with inducing panic, a first-degree misdemeanor.
After a competency assessment, a Chillicothe judge said Friday that there was no merit to a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. Ault will stand trial in November.
