Four Charged in Greenfield Abduction Case


Four Highland County residents have been charged following the abduction of a woman in Greenfield.

Details are vague, but the Greenfield Police Department says it first responded to the incident on Wednesday, October 4th after receiving a report of a possible assault at a home located at 1300 Jefferson Street.

Upon further investigation, responding officers determined through witness testimony that an unidentified female had possibly been abducted from the scene. 

The witnesses were able to identify the suspects and vehicles associated with the abduction and arrest warrants for the suspects were carried out by officers with the Greenfield Police Department and the Highland County Sheriff's Office over the following week.

Police say during the course of the investigation, the unidentified victim was able to escape from a barn in Highland County where she was being held. She quickly contacted law enforcement.

Virgil Bryant, of Hillsboro, was arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol during a traffic stop on Wednesday, October 4th following the initial report.

Tina Bryant, of Hillsboro, was taken into custody by the State Highway Patrol in a traffic stop on Monday, October 9th.

On Wednesday, October 11th, two additional suspects, Sabrina Banks and Nathan Day, both of Hillsboro, were apprehended on warrants.

All four suspects are charged each with a single third degree count of Abduction.
