The Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce held their 2024 Annual Dinner & Awards Ceremony Tuesday. Bell Manor again hosted the event from its overlook of US 35 south of Southeastern Schools.

Bobbi Blanton was named 2024 Entrepreneur of the Year, with her businesses Brick Haven Spa, Cranberry Boutique, and The Coffee Hub.

I asked Mike Throne, president and CEO of the chamber, to give a rundown of the event as well as “2023 by the Numbers.” Her him in my video interview, as well as an interview with Bobbi Blanton.

The Special Recognition recipient was Don Russell, a retired plant manager at the Chillicothe paper mills. Even in retirement he serves the community with woodworking and metalworking.

Tom White of Accurate Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing won the Legacy Award for businesses that have operated for more than 25 years. Started in 1977, Accurate now has more than 190 employees in seven locations serving 17 counties.

Bo Lacey Construction won the Corporate Citizenship award for its charitable contributions and commitment to work-life balance for its employees.

And, Anna Armistead of the Hope Partnership Project was named Young Professional of the Year.
