A Pickaway/Ross Career & Technology Center student is in a Columbus hospital after suffering serious burns in a classroom accident Wednesday.

17-year-old Brandon Gray, whose home school district is Adena High School, was in welding class when a spark landed on his clothing. Lt. Mike Preston of the Ross County Sheriff's Department told Clear Channel News that Gray's clothing caught fire, injuring the student.

Gray was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center, then transferred to OSU Medical Center with second and third degree burns.
