The Savings Bank in Circleville is sponsoring its annual Shred-It Day from 8am to noon, Saturday, at the Carnival Foods parking lot.

The Shred-It Day is a community project to fight identity theft. It is open to Pickaway County residents with a limit of five boxes of documents per household.

There are various documents you might want to consider shredding including, bank statements, cancelled checks, and documents from a lost loved one.

Having these items shredded is a good way to get rid of them safely and securely.

They'll also be collecting non-perishable food items for local food pantries at the event.

In a related note, the Savings Bank Drive-In and Lobby Facility on Pinckney St. in Circleville will be closed all day on Monday due to electrical work.
