The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning for much of southern Ohio between 4pm Tuesday through 10am Wednesday.

Heavy ice accumulations are possible with some snow and sleet. One quarter inch to half-an-inch of ice accumulations are expected. Snow and sleet accumulations will vary greatly from half-an-inch to four inches.

Wintry precipitation will quickly spread over the region Tuesday afternoon and evening. An onset of freezing rain, sleet and snow is expected before changing over to all freezing rain later Tuesday night. Freezing rain will be moderate to heavy at times as it continues into the overnight hours.

Heavy ice accumulation could cause trees and power lines to topple.
