An Adena School bus driver will be reinstated with a written reprimand after forgetting to check his bus at the end of a route, where a youngster was still on-board.

The Ohio News Network reports that Amy Wilburn said she got a call saying her five-year-old son had been missing from school. That's when they realized the child had apparently fallen asleep on the bus. The driver didn't realize it until he pulled into his own driveway.

Adena Superintendent Pete Ruby says the driver is getting a written reprimand for not following policy, but will be reinstated today.

Wilburn stated earlier in the week that she said she didn't want the driver to lose his job. She just wanted to keep this from happening again.
